WILLIAM J. MARTIN practices in the areas of federal, state and local taxation, estate planning and probate, and health law. Admitted to practice in Delaware (1978), Pennsylvania (1996), and before the U.S. Tax Court (1979), he holds degrees from the University of Delaware (B.A. with High Honors, 1975), Rutgers University School of Law – Camden (J.D. with Honors, 1978), and Georgetown University Law Center (LLM – Taxation, 1987). He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America (Tax).

Mr. Martin’s tax practice includes representation of individuals, corporations, and private foundations. In addition to providing tax planning and transactional services to the firm’s Business and Corporate clients, Mr. Martin represents clients in tax controversies before the U.S. Tax Court and the Delaware Tax Appeal Board.

Mr. Martin also maintains a large health law practice, with clients ranging from multi-specialty medical groups to sole practitioners. Martin & Lunger, P.A. provides health care clients with a full range of legal services, including organizational advice, third-party contracting and negotiation services, assistance with medical practice mergers and acquisitions, office leasing and real estate services.

Mr. Martin is a frequent speaker at tax, estate planning, and employee benefits-related seminars. He is a member of the Delaware State Bar Association.
